All Writings of ‘Blossoms’ Class- VIII English Book West Bengal Board of Secondary Education ……………………………………..……………………………………..……………………………………………… Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay Mother India has produced a galaxy of stars who keep their marks in different fields of activities and Bhibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay was one of them. He was born on 12 September 1894 under the parentage of Mahananda Bandyopadhyay and Mrinalini Devi. He received his early education from Bangaon High School. After that he passed intermediate and completed his graduation from Ripon College, now known as Surrendranath College of Kolkata. At first he worked as the Headmaster at Jangipara High School and later (he joined) at Harinavi Anglo-Sanskrit Institution. He wrote many famous novels like ‘Pather Panchali’, ‘Aparajita’, ‘Aranyak’, ‘Chander Pahar’ etc. This famous writer passed away/ died on 1st November, 1950. But his works/writings make him immortal forever in the hearts of the readers.
